Due to its biological activities and usefulness in industry, chitosan and its oligosaccharides have recently attracted a lot of interest. Chitosan is a nontoxic biopolymer made by deacetylating chitin. Chitin, chitosan, and its derivatives are often employed in food science, tissue engineering, and wound healing. Easy techniques for making chitin and chitosan nanofibers have recently been established, and research on the biological uses of chitin and chitosan nanofibers is continuing.
