However, in order to realize the desired wetting function, it is necessary to design and control the structure and chemical composition of the solid surface appropriately. Various functional wetting surfaces have been developed so far, and the relationship between the structure and composition of solid surfaces and static wettability has been studied. Since 2000, the spread of high-speed cameras has significantly increased research on the relationship between the properties of solid surfaces and the dynamic behavior of water droplets.
