Abstract: In Turkish, to present state and quality of being, the suffix +lIg (> +lI) can be used.The +lIg suffix, which was first encountered in the Old Turkic Inscriptions, is a multifunctional suffix that has been used since Old Turkic.The oldest piece of information about the state and quality of being suffix is found in Dīwān Lugāt at-Turk written by Kaşgarlı Mahmud in the 11th century.In the study, the suffix of state and quality of being in Qisas al-Anbiyâ one of the most important works of Khwarezm Turkish, has been examined.The work was written by Nâsır al-Dîn b.Burhân al-Dîn Rabghûzî and presented to Nâsır al-Dîn Tuk Bugha.In the research, the words with the +lIg suffix in Qisas al-Anbiyâ have been scanned.The expressions detected with the suffix of state and quality of being have been examined in terms of semantic and functional perspectives, and the suffix of state and quality of being has been evaluated in terms of phonetics, morphology and morphemes.In addition, in the study, the types of words to which the suffix of state and quality of being are added have been determined.It has been determined how often the suffix +llg is used in Qisas al-Anbiyâ.From a functional point of view, it has been determined that the suffix of state and quality of being is added to parts of speech such as adjectives, adverbs and pronouns as well as nouns.The suffix which expresses belonging to an entity, a concept, an object, is generally agreed by researchers to denote a sense of "ownership" in the adjectives derived from nouns.In Qisas al-Anbiyâ, it has been determined that the words to which the suffix is added make adverbs and particles as well as adjectives.In Qisas al-Anbiyâ, words with +lIg suffix, which are confused with the noun making suffix from +lIk nouns due to both the infertility of the alphabet and the mistakes of the authors and the copyists, have been determined and presented in tables.Structured Abstract: Introduction and the Purpose of the Study: One of the most important works of Khwarezm Turkish, Qisas al-Anbiyâ was written in 1310 (Hijri 710) by Nâsır al-Dîn b.Burhân al-Dîn Rabghûzî and presented to Nâsır al-Dîn Tuk Bugha.In the research, the publications prepared by Ata (2019a; b) of the London copy, which best reflects the language features of the work and is the oldest copy, are based on.In the study, it is aimed to determine and evaluate the words with the suffix of state and quality of being in the lexicon of Qisas al-Anbiyâ in terms of semantic and functional perspectives.
