Politics and corruption are synonymous with both. The lack of governance and unemployment corruption escaped the entire society. Since the 1990s, the issue of corruption has become significant in Pakistan. Today, Corruption and Pakistan are synonymous. Leaders like Zia-ul-Haq, Nawaz Sharif, Pervez Musharraf, and Asif Zardari were involved in a financial scandal. At all levels, the administration is highly corrupted. Afghanistan, on the other hand, is an economically vulnerable and democratically questionable country. The escalation of ethnic violence and terrorism made the country jeopardized. Due to the lack of industrialization and economic challenges, Afghanistan is immensely dependent upon foreign aids. Since 2002, both Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani governments have failed to prevent corruption at all levels of administration and politics. The reliability of these countries in the international milieu is unimpressive. This study is based on two basic objectives: (1) to examine the nexus between administration and politics, and (2) to explore the reasons for corruption. The result of the study shows that, due to the nexus between administration and politics, the degree of corruption has been intensified in both countries. The reasons for corruption in both countries have been laid on societal and administrative culture.Read More
