Queensland's Forde Foundation is a small programme that has provided in-kind redress since 2000. In 2007, Queensland opened the more complex and compensatory Queensland Redress programme. Queensland's second initiative was quickly followed by Western Australia, which opened its troubled Redress WA programme in 2008. Despite their capped budgets and low operational costs, these Australian redress programmes offered survivors some choice between different pathways that differed according to their eligibility requirements and assessment processes.Read More
