Title: Innovative sustainable technologies for biocorrosion inhibitors in oil and gas fields
Abstract: Microbiologically induced corrosion caused by both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria is most common in various industrial sectors. Corrosion inhibitors are classified as environmentally friendly according to several criteria such as toxicity, bioaccumulation, and biodegradation. The known dangerous effects of most synthetic organic inhibitors and the need to develop inexpensive, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly processes have now prompted researchers to focus on using natural products. This article discusses the bio-corrosion inhibitory properties of many sustainable and innovative technologies in the oil and gas fields and highlights an alternative variety of environmentally friendly and non-toxic corrosion inhibitors.
