Title: Using Thermography for Breast Cancer Neoadjuvant Treatment
Abstract: Globally, breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. Thermography, a functional examination that considers the body temperature variation, emerges as an alternative to monitor cancer during the neoadjuvant treatment. Few studies investigate the feasibility of this examination to assess tumor response. This study works in this context. We analyzed if there are significant differences in the temperature data of a group of patients when evaluating the pre and post-treatment under four different scenarios and two different regions of interest. Our results revealed that thermographic examinations are a promising alternative for monitoring breast cancer, with statistical differences for all analyses and scenarios addressed in this study.
