Abstract: Der Ökonom Josef Wieland[aut]Wieland, Josef, seit 2013 Direktor des „Leadership Excellence Instituts Zeppelin (LEIZ)“ an der Zeppelin Universität, hat in den letzten gut zwei Jahrzehnten ein beeindruckendes unternehmensethisches Forschungsprogramm konzipiert, das einen festen Platz in der akademischen Diskussion zur Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik einnimmt. Wielands grundsätzliche Überlegungen finden sich bereits in seiner Habilitationsschrift „Ökonomische Organisation, Allokation und Status“ (1996), sie wurden aber insbesondere in seinem Buch „Die Ethik der Governance“ (1999) in stärkerem Maße auf wirtschafts- und unternehmensethische Fragestellungen bezogen. Die stetige Weiterentwicklung dieses Ansatzes spiegelt sich in besonderer Weise in der von Josef Wieland herausgegebenen Buchreihe „Studien zur Governanceethik“ im Metropolis-Verlag wider, in der inzwischen 12 Bände erschienen sind, die unterschiedliche Facetten und Anwendungsbereiche der GovernanceethikGovernanceethik beleuchten, sowie in der jüngeren Publikation „Relational Economics“ (dt. Wieland 2018; engl. 2020).
