Title: IoT based Air Pollution Monitoring through Telit Bravo Kit
Abstract: Environmental data is to be collected for development of smart cities. Pollution is caused by increase in vehicles, burning of stubbles and power plants. It is estimated that around 2 million people die every year because of air pollution. The air quality in Delhi is worst as compared to many cities in the world. It has been seen that chronic respiratory diseases are responsible for a high morbidity rate in the world. An air quality index of (0-50) is rated as good, (51- 100) as satisfactory, (101 −200) as moderate and (201-300) as poor. Air quality can be monitored using a Bosch Sensortec BME680 sensor. An IOT device can be made using a Telit Bravo kit. If air quality is bad an air purifier can be automatically turned on using an IOT device. Temperature and Particulate matter 2.5 is predicted. Historical data, both structured and labelled is to be generated. The data is then correlated with air quality.
