Abstract: Our management of the long head of the biceps tendon in shoulder arthroplasty involves systematic biceps tenotomy or biceps tenodesis to address underlying biceps pathology. The majority of patients undergoing shoulder arthroplasty in our practice have gross abnormalities of the long head of the biceps tendon. We describe our rationale and technique for handling the long head of the biceps tendon.
