His positivist conception of our discipline led him to practice, teach and investigate in an open and rigorous way. Open to different opinions, criticisms and questions. Rigorous in his conception of empirical research as the axis of the future of psychoanalysis. Starting from a personal interpretation of his proposals, some master lines are drawn here of what a psychoanalysis of the future could be, which protects our field from cultural and scientific irrelevance and enables fertile growth.
