Title: A core-based digital audio signal processor for Hi-Fi audio
Abstract: A second-generation core DSP suited for digital audio applications has been developed. The first DASP (digital audio signal processor) with the core-DSP implements the dedicated audio, host, and external memory interfaces. The DSP, which is the central processing role in the Hi-Fi audio systems, has been specifically developed by many LSI manufacturers. The manufacturers in the consumer market always require low cost devices. This new DASP has been enhanced with many new functions, which are discussed.
