Title: On the role of autoionizing and autodetaching states in the excitation of metastable levels in the autoionizing energy region: helium

Experimental differential cross sections for metastable formation were measured with high energy ( approximately 0.08 eV) and angular ( approximately 0.1 degrees ) resolution by means of a metastable spectroscopy technique. The resonance-like structure observed is classified as related both to autoionizing and autodetaching states using the density functional theory method.Read More
