Verschiedene interessante carbocyclische Strukturen sind selektiv zugänglich, vorausgesetzt die Reaktionsbedingungen werden entsprechend gewählt. Mechanistische Studien stützen einen Verlauf über sequenzielle goldkatalysierte C-H- und C-C-Bindungsspaltungen.
