Abstract: Attackers targeting the systems of a number of US corporates decided the best way was first to attack the security systems that protected them – furnished by Bit9. They succeeded in accessing Bit9's network and using its own systems to digitally sign malware. And the attack worked because Bit9 failed to protect some of its computers with its own security products.
