Abstract: In article number 1901162, Yan Ye, Linsen Chen and co-workers report their recent progress on a large-area, ultrathin absorber, demonstrating strong absorption for the entire solar spectrum with high angular tolerance. Simultaneously, this sandwiched metasurface shows very low hemispherical thermal emittance for the long-infrared range as well as a high temperature resistance brought by a titanium nitride layer. Details about the design, simulations, measurements and promising applications are presented in the paper.
