Abstract: This chapter discusses the opportunity landscape. It begins with defining opportunity territories. Opportunity landscaping is a creative, insight-driven, bottom-up process that breaks down the imaginary walls built through industry landscaping. Further, it describes opportunity spaces. The opportunity spaces that companies define are often like a Venn diagram—overlapping and combining different mixes of the Six Sources. Next, it takes up opportunity starters. Anything that hits as a ripe opportunity is an opportunity starter. Uncovering opportunity requires observing what others have overlooked. After that, it explains opportunity shapers. The opportunity shapers are we ourselves. The opportunity can be stifled, supported and sustained with the help of Six Sources. At last, it illustrates opportunities stories.
