Abstract: Consumer behavior is changing due to many factors. In this study an attempt is made to understand the factors which influenced consumers to change the way they buy fruits and vegetables. This study is focused on the consumer behavior during purchase of fruits and vegetables at different branded retail outlets. The study involves collection of both primary and secondary data for analysis. The primary data is collected through questionnaire method and secondary data from the review of literature. It is important to study the behavior of consumers due to the change in many factors which has lead to the change in consumer experiences and responses. This change in their experiences has lead to high expectations and hence its essential for corporate to know the consumer thinking, opinions and attitude towards different branded outlets. It helps corporate to develop suitable successful strategies and restructure their retail operations in future. The new consumer insights can be used to develop innovative retail solutions. Thus this study helps in formulating new strategies for effective marketing of fruits and vegetables by knowing consumer brand preferences, perceptions, impact of e-tailing and retail technology.
