Title: Nitrogen and Sulfur Incorporation into Graphene Oxide by Mechanical Process
Abstract: This investigation described in the article, number 2001444, by Florentino López-Urías and co-workers, focuses on graphene oxide ball-milled with urea and thiourea. It is established that the high-energy ball-milling method produces high nitrogen doping concentration and diverse chemical species functionalizing reduced graphene oxide material. Density functional calculations demonstrated that urea and thiourea molecules could be covalently joined to edges and the body of graphene sheets.
