Abstract: Abstract Reflector antennas are a primary means of transmitting communications signals from point‐to‐point. This section briefly summarizes the important characteristics and design considerations of reflector antennas, including farfield radiation pattern, antenna gain and beamwidth, single and dual reflectors, offset designs to prevent blockage, aperture phase errors and the effects of optical aberrations, and wide field of view scanning systems.
