Magnetic MIPs (MMIPs) for capsaicin were also successfully synthesized by surface molecular imprinting technique. The composites were analyzed using SEM, TEM, and FT-IR. The cover image shows a SEM image of non-imprinted polymers synthesized by bulk polymerization. The intent is to overcome the present limitations facing extraction and purification of capsaicin for its many applications.
