Title: FtsZ forms a Z‐ring at midcell that is essential for division. In <i>Caulobacter crescentus</i>, FzlC (green) functions to anchor FtsZ (blue) to membranes in a process dependent on the FtsZ C‐terminal conserved peptide (CTC) (purple), as visualized by reconstitution into giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs).
