Thus coupling of alkyl- or aryl-substituted pyridines, methyl-substituted quinolines and condensed systems, as well as pyrazoles with aryl iodines under Pd catalysis in the presence of a Ag(I) source affords arylated products in reasonable yields with modest scope in functionality in the aryl iodine partner.
