Abstract:The kinetics on dynamic equilibrium in liquids and solutions Fay .! been studied over the time range of 10-9-.40-2sec.by tr ,sonic and temperature jump methods.For propionic acid the ultrasonic absorp...The kinetics on dynamic equilibrium in liquids and solutions Fay .! been studied over the time range of 10-9-.40-2sec.by tr ,sonic and temperature jump methods.For propionic acid the ultrasonic absorption was attributed to a breakage of one of two hydrogen bonds between two molecules.The absorptions found in methyl salicylate, salicylaldehyde and analogous compounds were associated with the intramolecular hydrogen bonding.For the equilibrium in solution, the proton transfer reaction ' was studied in sodium phosphate and sodium metaborate solutions, and in the solutions of various kinds of amino acids by ultrasonic method.In dibasic acids the ultrasonic absorptions were attributed to the dissociation-association reaction of acid.The temperature jump method was applied to study the kinetics of monomer-dimer equilibrium between dye molecules, and of equilibrium between micelle of surfactant and dye.The ultrasonic absorptions were measured in the solutions of several kinds of surfactants.The excess absorption was observed only in the solution, the concentration of which was higher than the critical micellar concentration and was attributed to the reaction between the micelle and counterion.For polypeptides the helix-coil transition was studied by ultrasonic absorption.Furthermore kinetics were studied on the ligand substitution for Zn2+, Hg2 and Pb2 by ultrasonic method, and the complex formation for Fe3 by temperature jump method.Read More
