Abstract: In article number 1802438, Freddy Kleitz, Claudio Gerbaldi and co-workers report a new anode material for high-performing and long-lasting Li-ion batteries, which is built from an innovative 2D/3D nanostructure design. The active material consists of exfoliated graphene-wrapped mesoporous mixed metal oxide microspheres, obtained through a simple spray-drying procedure. Such electrode material provides significantly improved specific capacity with unprecedented reversible cycling stability over 3000 charge/discharge cycles.
