Title: Regularized Electric Field Integral Equation HMatrix for Electromagnetic Scattering
Abstract: In this paper, we show a method to regularize Electric Field Integral Equation based H-Matrix. EFIE is Fredholm integral of the first kind and is known to be an ill-posed problem. The ill-posedness can be overcome by using the regularization method. We propose a regularization method based on the diagonalization of the near-field matrix, and the diagonalized near-field, in combination with the far-field matrix, is converted into the Fredholm integral equation type of the second kind. The integral equation of the second kind gives a smoother kernel and is well-posed. The regularized system of the matrix is solved using an iterative solver, and numerical results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
