Abstract: Jaroslav Křička (27. 8. 1882 - 23. 1. 1969) patřil k renomovaným českým skladatelům, kteří se přiklonili k hudebnímu tradicionalismu. Vedle tvůrčí činnosti se výrazně uplatnil jako dirigent, sbormistr, organizátor, pedagog, publicista. Jeho dílo zahrnuje téměř všechny hudební druhy a žánry. Zcela nový žánr v české hudbě vytvořil svou tvorbou pro děti.Ačkoliv pocházel z Moravy, působil většinu svého tvůrčího života v Praze. Po celý život udržoval kontakty s mnoha poloprofesionálními a amatérskými hudebníky, pro něž nezištně komponoval příležitostné skladby. V starobylé Olomouci, městě s tradičními profesionálními institucemi i většinou solidní hudební kulturou amatérských těles, našel vstřícné prostředí a interprety. Kontakty lze sledovat v průběhu takřka celého minulého století. Bližší pohled ukazuje, že šlo nejen o uvádění skladeb, ale také o hlubinný inspirační zdroj, který autorovi představoval vztah k domovu a jeho vnitřním postojům.
