Abstract: trascritte da terzi -, e i tre fogli sciolti Vat.gr.2335 con la bozza del tomo antiocheno del 1369/1370,203 le altre testimonianze possono essere classificate a seconda del loro contenuto nei seguenti macrogruppi:204 1. autografi autoriali:-testimoni delle opere di Argiro trascritte dall'autore; 2. autografi editoriali:-trascrizioni complete di opere di scrittori dell'antichità -tra gli altri Gregorio di Nissa e Cleomede -o contemporanei -tra cui Demetrio Cidone e Giovanni Ciparissiota; -sillogi che raccolgono estratti di diversi autori sul medesimo argomento (teologico, astronomico o metrico-letterario);205 -due restauri, volti l'uno a sanare l'antico Luciano Vat.Pal.gr.174, riferibile per la sua parte originaria al terzo quarto del XIII secolo, l'altro a restituire i due fascicoli iniziali alla raccolta lessicografica Prah.XXV.C.31, la cui parte antica è anch'essa databile tra la fine del secolo XIII e i primi decenni del XIV;206203 Sul tomo antiocheno vergato da Argiro per Arsenio di Tiro si vedano Mercati (1931) 204-205, 209-218, e Polemis (1993).204 Sono inclusi i manoscritti di cui Argiro ha copiato una sola unità codicologica; per contro, vengono conteggiati come una singola unità i codici in cui ad Argiro si devono più sezioni.Per le scelte terminologiche impiegate rinvio a Battaglia Ricci (2010) 125-128, dove si specifica la differenza tra autografi editoriali, quali libri scritti «di mano propria» da un autore perfettamente riconoscibile, che ha copiato per sé o per altri l'opera di un altro scrittore», e autografi autoriali «quei libri in cui uno scrivente noto trascrive composizioni proprie».205 All'interno della produzione libraria di Argiro si possono distinguere sillogi brevi, coincidenti con pochi fogli -come quella formata da estratti brevissimi di opere dei Padri della chiesa recata nel Marc.gr.Z. 155 -e miscellanee primarie, assai più consistenti; l'opera di selezione e reperimento dei materiali si deve in entrambe ad Argiro.Sulla distinzione tra miscellanee primarie e miscellanee
