Abstract:Results: Survey results showed improvements in staff job satisfaction and confi dence in caring for individuals with HD, as well as confi dence in their coworkers' abilities to work with residents wit...Results: Survey results showed improvements in staff job satisfaction and confi dence in caring for individuals with HD, as well as confi dence in their coworkers' abilities to work with residents with HD.Residents' agitated behaviors and refusal behaviors (refusing meals, medications, and bathing) decreased post-Safety Care education.Conclusions: Use of applied behavioral analysisbased training systems such as Safety Care may provide an adequate educational foundation for caring for individuals with HD and may provide staff with confi dence in caring for the complex behaviors of HD.Read More
