Title: PERFIL DAS PRINCIPAIS PLANTAS TÓXICAS NO ESTADO DE PERNAMBUCO: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
Abstract: A utilização de plantas medicinais é reportado desde de civilizações primitivas para o tratamento de diversos tipos de enfermidades. Ao passar dos séculos, o reconhecimento da ação terapêutica das plantas foi sendo comprovada a partir de estudos científicos reforçando os achados dos primórdios. No século 21, não seria diferente. Mesmo com o advento de inúmeras tecnologias e um vasto arsenal terapêutico, a busca por novas moléculas que possibilitem uma terapia menos agressiva e com baixo efeitos adversos e/ou tóxicos ainda é um fato atual. A partir disso, a busca de compostos extraídos de plantas ganha destaque e interesse por ser um arsenal vivo de uma variedade de moléculas com potencial terapêutico. Dentre os inúmeros achados da ciência a respeitos de plantas medicinais de interesse farmacêutico, uma variedade de preparações são desenvolvidas para extração dos compostos presentes, tais como: óleos essenciais, extratos em diferentes solventes, frações e até o processo de isolamento de moléculas, seja metabolitos primários como metabolitos secundários. Nas últimas décadas, o Brasil voltou a valorizar sua flora com sua variedade de Biomas e consequentemente de espécies, com potencial de descoberta de novas moléculas com atividade biológica e medicamentos fitoterápicos. Atualmente, as plantas medicinais e os fitoterápicos não são mais considerados apenas como terapia complementar, mas uma fonte de desenvolvimento de fármacos para ser utilizado como referência do processo terapêutico de doenças. Assim, esta obra tem como objetivo apresentar variados trabalhos envolvendo pesquisas com plantas medicinais com potencial no desenvolvimento de novos fitoterápicos. ISBN: 978-65-80476-95-4DOI: doi.org/10.36926/editorainovar-978-65-80476-95-4 Biografia dos organizadores Alisson Macário de Oliveira - Graduado em Biomedicina (2012), Ciências Biológicas-Licenciatura (2020) e Farmácia (2020), Mestre (2015) e Doutor em Bioquímica e Fisiologia (2019) pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Durante o mestrado desenvolveu seu projeto no Laboratório de Farmacologia e Cancerologia Experimental da UFPE atuando na área de Bioquímica e Farmacologia Geral principalmente em pesquisa envolvendo os seguintes temas: atividade biológica (antiinflamatório, antimicrobiano, antinociceptivo, antidiabético e antitumoral), toxicidade, plantas medicinais e terapêutica. Em seu projeto de doutorado desenvolveu sua pesquisa com produtos naturais da Caatinga, inibidores de protease e aplicações na resistência à insulina. Em docência atuou em cursos técnicos e de graduação da área da saúde e como colaborador da disciplina de Fisiologia Humana dos cursos de graduação em medicina, odontologia e enfermagem da Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE). Foi Pesquisador bolsista em Desenvolvimento Tecnológico Industrial (DTI) do CNPq no Laboratório de Farmacognosia da UFPE de 01/2019 a 01/2020. Atualmente, coorienta 7 dissertações de mestrado e 5 teses de doutorado do Laboratório de Bioquímica de Proteínas da UFPE. Tem experiência na área de Bioquímica, com ênfase em Química de Proteínas e Produtos Naturais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Toxicidade e atividades biológicas de plantas medicinais da Caatinga e aplicações biotecnológicas de extratos, óleos essenciais, processos extrativos, proteínas (lectinas e inibidores de proteases) e metabólitos secundários. Wêndeo Kennedy Costa - Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas com ênfase em Saúde pela Universidade de Pernambuco (2016) e mestrado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2019). Atualmente é Doutorando da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, atuando nas linhas de pesquisas: Etnofarmacologia, Bioatividade, Bioprospecção, Plantas medicinais e Tecnologia de Processos e Produtos. Recentemente vem desenvolvendo projetos sobre bioatividade de óleos essenciais e extratos vegetais extraídos de plantas, avaliando os potenciais antioxidante, antimicrobiano, antinociceptivo, antipirético, anti-inflamatório, citotóxico e a toxicidade.
