The objective of the...According to recent studies suicide claims many lives’s per year and suicide is seen as the third leading cause of death. One of the commonly seen causes of suicide is depression. The objective of the study is to understand the attitude of young adults towards suicidal ideation and to know if there is a gender differences for suicidal ideation. The total sample of this study consisted of 300 respondents out of which 150 were males and 150 were females. The subjects belonged to the age group of 18-23. The Suicidal Ideation Scale by Dr. Devendra Singh Sisodia and Dr. Vibhuti Bhatnagar (SIS-SDBV) was administered to the subjects.
