Title: Efficient Transonic Method for Aeroelastic Applications Including Aircraft/Stores
Abstract: Two efficient unsteady transonic methods, called the ZTAIC and ZSAP methods, have been developed to cover the entire transonic flow regimes including Mach one for aeroelastic applications of complex configurations such as aircraft with stores. The ZTAIC method requires steady pressure input, which can ensure accurate unsteady shock strength and location. The ZSAP method solves the linearized sonic equation and provides accurate flutter solutions at Mach one for slender planforms. Both methods yield the aerodynamic influence coefficient matrices that can be repeatedly used for structural design/optimization for a fixed aerodynamic configuration.
