Title: Histology of the Human Testis from Neonatal Period to Adolescence
Abstract: The history of the testicular structures from birth to the end of the adolescence period is to be discussed, from the histological point of view, with the consideration that this gonad contains three fundamental structures: a) the stroma, including albuginea, the intertubular connective tissue and the seminiferous tubule wall; b) the Leydig cells and c) the germinal epithelium. All these three structures show definite morphological, histochemical and ultra-structural changes which can be interrelated as well as correlated with the age of the individual.
