The aim of the study is to analyze thermal and optical characteristics, and electri...Recently, more attention has been paid to DSC(Dye-sensitized Solar Cell) with the potential of glazing applications. The aim of the study is to analyze thermal and optical characteristics, and electrical performance of glazing with DSC modules according to their compositions. For this study, the optical and electrical performances of DSC that applied into glazing were measured, using a spectroscopic equipment and a solar simulater for DSC. Then the optical and thermal performances of the DSC glazing were simulated with the Window 6.0 program. As a result, it found that U-value of the DSC glazing was similar to that of clear single glass. The SHGC of DSC glazing decreased by 9.4%∼47%, compared to that of clear single glazing, and its visual light transmittance was lower than that of the same type of clear glazing. The electrical measurement indicated that the electrical efficiency of the DSC double glazings with clear glass and low-e glass decreaced by 9.9% and 13.3%, respectively, compared to that of DSC module only.Read More
