For two centuries after the middle of the sixth century, the plague swept over a wide range of regions such as the Mediterrane world including Byzantium empire, the North Africa region, the Levant, Asia Minor, the Iberian Peninsula, and Gaul, British Isles, the Sassanian empire, and China. Given the geographical spread of the plague, it was definitely a Pandemic. In addition, the plague was the first Pestilence occurred in human society.
