Title: Determinants of Financial Inclusion in India
Abstract: With an active intervention of the government, the large number of the unbanked sections of the society could be included into different financial services. Over the years, the number of bank accounts has been increasing. Certain socio-economic factors, like educational level, age group and employment decide the extent of the number of the bank holders. But some problems arise, when the account holders do not utilize the banking facilities properly, especially when a majority stay idle. Government has to take active steps to solve these issues. Moreover, the remaining unbanked sections of the society have to be included in the financial services, by solving the various reasons cited.
