Title: Infusing Computational Thinking into the Accounting Curriculum - Framework and Perspectives
Abstract: In the last two decades, computational thinking has been integrated into teaching of Engineering and Computer Science majors, and other science and engineering disciplines in universities. Computational Thinking plays a potential role in cultivating Accounting students' ability to use technology to solve problems. To extend the application of computational thinking in disciplines that are not necessarily related to science and engineering, this study proposes a new theoretical framework and curriculum design to promote the infusion of CT in the Accounting curriculum.
