Abstract: This study is aim to analyze the influence of work discipline and work
environment against the employees performance with the work satisfaction as the
intervening variable in the Human Resources and Business Developmental PT.
Krakatau Steel (Persero)Tbk.
In this study, there are 4 variables, those are Work Discipline (X1), Work
Environment (X2), Employees Performance (Y), and Work Satisfaction (Z). This
study involves 80 samples of employees from PT. Krakatau Steel (Persero)Tbk
In order to get the accurate result, this study uses interview, observation, and
questioner. This study uses descriptive method, data analysis, instrument test,
classic assumption test, t test, intervening variable path analysis and sobel test
with SPSS v20 calculation.
The result of this study are that : (1) Work Discipline is a positive
significant influence against the work satisfaction (2) work environment is a
positive significant influence against the work satisfaction (3) work discipline is a
positive significant influence against the employees performance (4) work
environment is a positive significant influence against the employees
performance. (5) work satisfaction is a positive significant influence against the
employees performance (6) work satisfaction as the intervening variable unable to
mediate the influence of work discipline with the employees performance (7)
work satisfaction as the intervening variable unable to mediate the influence of the
work environment with the employees performance.
