Title: Research on the impact of re-electrication in the transportation sector on carbon emission and pollutant emission in Yunnan province
Abstract: China’s national promises of carbon peak and carbon neutralisation requires a zero-greenhouse gas increase consumption end, emphasising the necessity of re-electricity. Transportation sector advances in techniques, manufacture and market in electrification, enabling electric vehicles and infrastructural renewal to accelerate energy transformation and eventually helping accelerating carbon reduction goals. In this study, scenario analysis method is used to analyse the energy consumption, carbon dioxide emissions and pollutant emissions of transportation sector in Yunnan Province. The results show that carbon emission of transportation sector can reach the peak in 2029 in the deep re-electrification scenario, while it can bring the collaborative emission reduction of NOx and SO2.
