This descriptive-analytical study seeks to answer the question of what is the identity of new media and based on McLuhan's idea of hot and cold media, new communication media are considered hot or cold media and the effect of such an identity. What about teaching religious knowledge? For this reason, the present study first defines cyberspace and separates its important features; Then, according to McLuhan's idea of hot and cold media, which is a practical topic in the field of communication theories and also has a cultural and philosophical approach, he used it to analyze cyberspace that did not exist in McLuhan's era. In the first stage, the article develops new terms from hot and cold, which it names as clear and obscure media; In the second stage, it analyzes cyberspace in a spectral way and in the spectrum, it achieves five stages of cold and clear, low-key, moderate, rich, hot and obscure media. This research - the mixed identity of cyberspace - deals with and explains it; At the end of the research, the position of new media based on the expressed spectrum, close to cold and clear media is introduced. According to this classification, researchers believe that religious concepts have a limited capacity to be presented in cyberspace due to their proximity to the epistemological and learning dimensions.Read More
