Title: Transmisión vertical de la CO VID-19: evidencias y recomendaciones
Abstract: ResumenObjetivo: Resumir las evidencias y recomendaciones actuales para determinar si existe evidencia de transmisión vertical en pacientes embarazadas con diagnóstico de enfermedad por coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).Materiales y métodos: Se realizaron búsquedas en las bases de datos de PubMed y Google Scholar, para todas las publicaciones de casos y metaanálisis del 30 de diciembre de 2019 al 30 de julio de 2020, utilizando los términos MeSH COVID-19 y embarazo, SARS-CoV-2, transmisión vertical.Los criterios de inclusión fueron: artículos revisados por pares escritos en inglés y español, con resultado en la prueba de reacción en cadena de la polimerasa (PCR) o elevación de IgM sérica para COVID-19 positiva en embarazos previamente sanos.Criterios de exclusión: abarcaron artículos sin revisión por pares o con la leyenda de aún en revisión y artículos con pacientes sin diagnóstico confirmado de infección por SARS-CoV-2.Resultados: Los cinco estudios con poblaciones más grandes tienen un total de 472 casos de pacientes embarazadas con prueba PCR positiva, en las cuales únicamente 13 neonatos presentaron evidencia de transmisión vertical de COVID-19.Conclusión: La evidencia de la mayoría de los reportes apunta a que el riesgo de transmisión vertical es bajo, dependiendo de los factores maternos y del
