summarize the main points of the author’s point of view in contrasting the
difference between children’s view and adults’ view in viewing life in the The
Little Prince novella.
The data source of this research is the novella The Little Prince by Antoine
de Saint-Exupery which was first published in 1943. The research method for this
research is using the Theory of Symbol; to identify the symbols in the novella,
with the help of Structural Analysis of Characterization and Setting to analyze the
characters and setting of the novella. The researcher finds ten central symbols’
meaning and the importance of the role of central symbols in contrasting the
difference between children’s view and adults’ view in viewing life in the The
Little Prince novella.
