Title: 폴란드 연출가 Jerzy Grotowski의 실험 연극 - 가난한 연극이후 실험적 기법을 중심으로 -
Abstract: Jerzy Grotowski made contributions tomodern theatre in that he realized the participation of spectators into the theatre. To achieve the 'Poor Theatre(1959~1969) which was based on his own concept of the theatre, he tried tomake spectators participate in the theatre. But in the end of sixties, he stopped producing theatre as a performance because he realized that spectators must be passive in the space of stage. After that, he has been continuing to work in search of something other than theatre, His new works appeared in his theatre of later age like the 'Theatre of Participation(1969~1978) known as 'Paratheatrical Projects' or 'Active Culture', and the 'Thatre of Sources(197 6~1982)', and the 'Ritual Arts(1982~) including 'Objective Drama'. For more active participation of spectators, they participated as actors. It was made possible by three methods, that is, their participation through Self-analsis, role-playing as actors, and physical awakening.
