Title: El juego de mesa para educar en la equidad de género. Proyecto artístico de un juego de mesa infantil: El Mundo Violeta
Abstract: en inglés) This theoretical-practical project proposes the use of children's board games with a gender perspective as a tool to promote values of respect and equality among young boys and girls. The work consists of three essential parts. The first part exposes how gender stereotypes reproduced by children's games are detrimental to the development of children's identity and proposes education as the key to eradicate those stereotypes. It also points out the importance of retrieving female figures absent in history, so that the girls of tomorrow can access a range of role models. The second part analyses a number of current children's board games that advocate for equality. In the third and last part, we propose the development and design of a children's board game with a focus on the retrieval of women of history from different disciplines: art, science, philosophy and literature.Hence, the main objectives are to point out the consequences of gender roles acquired in childhood, to question the absence of female representation in prescriptive education, and to create the possibility of accessing some of these female role models through the creation of our own game.
