Marine litter is of significant concern both towards marine biota including humans, since marine animal habitats is turned into a plastic broth, although humans face danger of severe health effects following the ingestion of plastic consumed marine products. There's also certain economic damages, such as destroyed ships, depleted fish stocks, decreased trade, depreciated value of coastal land, etc. Throughout India, plastic waste is known to have inflicted significant harm to biodiversity. There are several instances of entanglement with ingestion of plastic particles contributing to the death of marine organism in the region. This thesis offers a descriptive image about marine plastic waste in India as well as the subsequent future unless no or minimal measures are taken. Consultations by analysts and estimates from data were used to conclude at the studies.Read More
