Title: An Assessment of Factors Affecting Organizational Trauma On Leaving Service by Military Personnel
Abstract: This study is intended to investigate the effect of the factors causing organizational trauma in military service personnel. It is an applied research using descriptive survey method. The statistical population of this research consists of 571 employees of Imam Khomeini Marine Science University from whom 230 people were selected as sample through random sampling method based on Morgan table. The data was collected by Kamen et al. (1979) questionnaire categorized on the basis of Likert scale. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by factor analysis based on the experts' opinions. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha resulting in 0.81 and 0.83 coefficients. Demographic information was used as descriptive statistics, and SPSS, LISREL, correlation coefficient, multivariate regression coefficient, t-test, inequality analysis and variance analysis (ANOVA) were used as inferential statistics in data analysis. The results indicated that there is a significant relationship between the aspects of the organizational trauma and employees leave, while the contribution of each of these factors was different. It also varies with regard to gender, type of employment, seniority, and organizational posts.
