Title: Who is the Real Wilde?-The Psychological Analysis on the Characterization in The Picture of Dorian Gray
Abstract: Oscar Wilde was a versatile genius in English literature. He was famous for his aestheticism, advocating the ”art for art's sake”. Here in this paper, the author would like to interpret and analyze him and his work from another angle, i.e., using the psychological approach in literature, with the tool of Freud's theory to analyze the characterization of the three characters (Dorian, Henry and Basil) in this book, and the relationship between the three images and the author Wilde.
