Title: Universal and Culture-specific Features of the Concept 'Force' in the Russian and English Languages: Translation Aspect (Универсальное и национально-специфическое в структуре концепта 'сила' в русском и английском языках: переводческий аспект)
Abstract: English Abstract: The paper Universal and culture-bound/language-specific features of the concept 'force' in the Russian and English has made a comparative analysis of this concept in the conceptual and linguistic world view of the Russian and English languages and explained a close link between this concept and the psychological and spiritual specifics of the world view of Russian and English speakers. The paper has also presented the linguistic means and language structures representing this concept and showed the equivalents and other types of correspondences used in rendering this concept. The translation or rendering the collocations - lexical means representing the concept - from Russian into English presents special difficulties attributable to the specifics of the language world view that are being shaped up by the conceptual world outlook. These difficulties were illustrated by interesting examples and approaches to translation.
Russian Abstract: В тезисах был проведен сравнительный анализ концепта сила в картине мира двух языков и объяснялась его связь с психологическими и духовными особенностями менталитета представителей двух лингвосоциумов. В тезисах также приводятся языковые средства, отражающие структуру данного концепта в английском и русском языках, и межъязыковые соответствия, используемые при передаче данного концепта при переводе. Перевод словосочетаний - лексических средств, чаще всего репрезентирующих данный концепт в русском языке, представляет особые трудности, связанные с различиями в концептуальной и языковой картинах мира двух языков, и эти трудности были проиллюстрированы рядом интересных переводческих примеров.
