Abstract: The late Pleistocene - Holocene mammal fauna fromlunette deposits on the east side of Lake Victoria, NewSouth Wales, Australia is described. The fossil assemblageis here named the Lake Victoria Local Fauna.The lunette is of aeolian origin and the presenceof several well developed paleosols in the lunette indicatesthat lunette formation occurred over a substantial periodof time, p,ossibly 40,000 yrs.
