Title: Conversation with Shahida Bano about changing times, language, Sonwara village, and relatives
Abstract: This is a conversation between four-five people in Sonwara, the researcher’s village. The researcher, accompanied by his cousin Noman, visits Shahida Bano to document some folk songs mostly sung on the occasion of marriages. He notices her language to match with Bhojpuri than Azamgarhi. He decides to record some on-going conversation about changing times, a description on the demography of the village Sonwara, the languages/ varieties spoken by Muslims and Hindus, and talks on family members and events along with some personal narrative. While Shahida Bano talks in Bhojpuri, the other people converse in Azamgarhi.
